assign unique ID to titleBar class elements
Posted by: BigPete - 02-25-2026, 04:06 PM - Forum: Dev Log - Replies (2)

In order to provide unique styling to the titleBar elements based on which page they appear on, a new ID should be assigned to these elements. These titleBar class elements appear in the following places:

forum_list
forum_view
thread_view

Currently the title on the forum_list page can be seen as redundant since the banner also has the title. so I will also need to update the min theme to accomodate this, while retaining the titleBar on the thread_view and forum_view pages.

  Code box
Posted by: BigPete - 02-25-2026, 03:37 PM - Forum: Suggestions/Feedback - Replies (3)

This is probably mostly for @Jim Rockford, but @Digital Prophet might have some thoughts too:

In the post editor toolbar we have an insert code tool. At the moment this box can auto format HTML and PHP, but no other languages are supported. Would it be worthwhile to add some additional languages?

Any specific requests? Based on recent projects and posts it seems like C++, BASH, and QB64 would be useful.

  [Must Read] Astro City
Posted by: Turk - 02-25-2026, 03:00 PM - Forum: Comics - No Replies

Anyone who has even a passing interest in super hero comics has got to stop everything and read this comic book. It first came out in 1995 published by Image Comics. It ran six issues. It was fucking amazing. It is like all the Marvel and DC stuff got blended together. Written by Kurt Busiek and interior art by Brent Anderson. Covers and character designs by Alex Ross.

Here is the first ten pages of issues 1:

I really think this comic speaks for it's self. So I won't waste any more words on it.

The rest can found in the six Metro Books here on my comic server. Read it! Here is the Wikipedia page if you want to read about the history of the series.

  Bartop Arcade / Retro Terminal
Posted by: BigPete - 02-24-2026, 08:37 PM - Forum: Projects - No Replies

Just spitballing a bit here, but I came across this old hackaday article:

https://hackaday.com/2018/12/05/1970s-la...-terminal/

and a though occurred to me that terminals and bartop arcade cabinets are quite similar: A case with a display and control mechanism integrated into a similar shape:

So it would be kind of cool to build a cabinet that has drop in control boards. Maybe powered by an SBC or old ITX PC.

choose whichever control board you need and plug it in via USB then drop it into the front of the case.

I dunno. Haven't thought it through or anything just putting the thoughts out into the world.
