Okay back on my shit today since im forced to be at work.
I've been looking at other sites that do custom board printing. Print & Play is sort of the big one, but there are others and they have different sizes of shit and different prices. They're less of a known quantity but are generally cheaper than P&P.
These guys: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/make/prod...quareBoard have 4x4 inch boards, for $12/8 pieces, double sided print. That's a couple dollars cheaper per sheet than P&P's 4x4 token prices. Getting 48 map boards would cost about $71 dollars which is not quite double what it would be to get them on cards from P&P. However if I get similar "board" pieces from P&P it would run $160.00 for 48.
What I want ideally is something between card thickness and chipboard thickness, but nobody seems to do that.
The other problem, apart from the price of getting real "board" tiles, is storing them. 48 cards store easy, 48 2mm thick tiles require a lot of storage space.
